This past couple of years, I have been fascinated with peptides in the world of health and beauty. Peptides, among so many things, can help with weight loss, muscle development, smoothing of skin and even help with the elimination of frown lines.
And the temporary reduction of wrinkles and frown lines has long been the force behind Botox, Dysport, Juveau, Letybo, Xeomin and Daxxify, which are all derived from botulinum toxin type A. (all are so often simply referred to as “Botox”–which is actually a stand-alone drug).
The results for all typically last 3-4 months–with the exception of Daxxify which can last up to 6 or 9 months, thanks to its proprietary and synthetic peptide. This amazing Daxxify peptide, added to the botulinum toxin, attaches to nerve receptors, allowing for a stronger bond that creates its much-desired longer lasting effect. Daxxify is also the only neuromodulator currently made in the United States and is also plant-based.
After extensive research, my husband Steve and I went into Leuer Aesthetics, located in Clearwater, Florida for Daxxify injections. For years, I had previously gone to Bahar Farouz with Premier Medical Wellness in Solana Beach, CA–even after moving to Florida. She is amazingly skilled and very knowledgable about anti-aging and how to promote longevity. So it was with great hesitation I made appointments for Steve and I to have Daxxify injections done by owner Danielle Le Blanc at Leuer. It was also Steve’s first-ever cosmetic injection.
I anecdotally and personally believe that long term use of these products will increase the time these neurotoxins will last. And how long the benefit will endure has always been a major issue for the millions of neuromodulator users worldwide. THAT is a major appeal of Daxxify.
Following protocol, we visited Leuer Aesthetics again two weeks after our first Daxxify injections. I was able to point out to Danielle a few spots where a few more units of product might be desired on both Steve and me. She agreed and explained that she would rather under-inject and correct later rather than overdo such a long-lasting product.

And I am pleased with the results. I notice a little more “glow” in both of our skins, probably because of the added peptide. Forehead wrinkle improvement with Steve is remarkable and I, a veteran of almost all of the nueromodulators over the years, have found this botulunim toxin to be as effective as the rest–at least at this point in time. I will be over the hill happy if I am anywhere near where I am today 6 months from now!
Will I visit Leuer Aesthetics again–even if it is a 1.5 hour drive? Absolutely! Denise has some other offerings I am interested in trying. In addition to neuromodulators, Lleuer offers supplement IV infusions, fillers, Scarlet RF, PDRF treatments, PRP, Cellenis, threads, treatments, and MORE.
And will I still visit Bahar when I go to San Diego to see my sons and grandsons? I can’t think of a better idea.
