It has become an annual tradition that my wonderful nephew Bryan Sneed, who founded Sneed Coding Solutions, takes his employees (plus one) on an annual Carnival cruise to Cozumel from Galveston, TX. He is such a sport to include me and his mother and my sister, Gayle Butler on this December getaway.
It is also a great time for the legendary sisters to engage in fun mischief. This year, we labeled ourselves as Troublemakers–named after a wine we legally brought on board.
Troublemaker, by the way, is a very drinkable and yummy wine crafted by legendary Austin Hope winemakers. We had loaded our suitcases with look-alike clothing and drew more than a few stares and countless questions asking if we were twins. (I am actually four years older)

This year’s cruise aboard the Carnival Legend turned out to be a favorite. Part of the Spirit series, it is a smaller craft holding around 2600 passengers. Gayle and I were in a reasonably spacious ocean view balcony room overlooking lifeboats. Our only real complaint was the number of electrical outlets: there were only two–if we unplugged the television. A power strip would be an inexpensive and very helpful room addition. The rooms were very clean and were usually made up by noon. Kudos to the cleaners!
Though we ate every dinner in Truffles Restaurant, Bryan made sure everyone at the table could enjoy huge sushi boats from the neighboring Bonsai Sushi restaurant. We also enjoyed the filet mignon and lobster offering our final night on board for an additional $25. Very worthwhile–and thanks again to Bryan and Sneed Coding!
Food aboard the Legend was actually very good and the creative offerings at the Alchemy Bar were a real treat. We used neither the pool nor the spa on this trip, so can offer no reviews. However, we did enjoy the friendly casino very much–and spent some of our winnings at the onboard shopping mall. I bought some Kendra Scott earrings and Gayle snagged a great deal on this beautiful ring from Effy’s Jewelry

I simply cannot imagine two sisters having more fun! We enjoyed laughter in the casino, dining with friends–and making many new ones– dancing every night and being amazed at how easy embarking and disembarking was on this surprisingly wonderful Carnival Cruise.
We love Carnival’s Legend, becoming legends– anxiously await next December’s fun!

What a fabulous cruise — love love love Carnival’s Legend! The food was exceptional and the Casino was so much fun. The Red Frog offered outstanding live music and dancing opportunities every night. The main bar on second floor was so enjoyable with entertainment for kids and adults… everyone was so friendly and made lots of new friends!
Thank you Gayle! Carnival was awesome on this trip–and am wondering if the smaller Spirit ships make such a differemce.
